Water, this invisible and flowing medium, makes the still life that was originally stuck in one place curl up and stretch in its embrace. The light penetrates this liquid domain, and after repeated refraction and distortion, the orange color of the orange and the color of the flower alternate with each other. In this water, bubbles seep out from the surface of the object, and these inanimate existences begin to breathe in a certain way, and are the first cry of life. Oranges and flowers float in this static and moving environment, no longer just representatives of still life, but begin their own short and blurred life. They regard the salt lake as a goddess, a sacred symbol. They believe that once they have taken things from nature, they must thank nature for its gifts.They are disciplined and are not allowed to be greedy; therefore, they take only what they need. They are pious and are in awe of nature, never wasting even a grain of salt.The speed of social development is beyond our imagination. We take more from nature than it can bear. The discharge of nuclear wastewater into the sea, the Rhine River pollution incident in the 20th century, Minamata disease incident in Japan, etc. In 2019, I came to Sichuan Province, China. I was impressed by its unique natural environment and its simple residents, who were very different from the people in cities. The documentary “Extreme Road” shows the lives of people in the endless Gobi desert. They are grateful for nature and are in awe of it. This made me reflect on and think about developments in modern society. The “No face” project is born at the right moment. Faces are lit up with artificial lights in the most natural environment to get rid of the disguise in the material society and return the unique face to nothingness. Moon」中女人对男人说的一句话。电影里两性关系之间的伤害令人心痛，而这也引发了我对“伤害”的思考。相较于身体上的直接暴力，冷暴力通常被很多人忽视。我从身边入手，调研收集到三位曾有过此类经历的女性的故事，将他们的经历通过画面直观的展现在镜头前。我们都知道物理性的暴力伴随着疼痛。但在两性关系中，除了直接的暴力，还存在一种常被大家忽视的伤害——冷暴力。它们是隐形的，但却给人以无法修复的伤害。相爱时的浪漫美好，与遭受冷暴力时的痛苦无奈，形成强烈的反差。此项目将视角聚焦到三位女性素人的故事中，用摄影的方式诉说着她们所遭遇的冷暴力。希望这场对两性关系的探讨可以引发观众的冷暴力的思考。注：为保护个人隐私，画面中出镜均为专业模特，非故事主角。 March 2022&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;We all know that physical violence is accompanied by pain. But in addition to direct violence in gender relationships, there is also a kind of harm that is often ignored—emotional abuse. It is invisible but can cause irreparable damage. The romance and beauty of being in love are in stark contrast to the pain and helplessness of suffering emotional abuse. This project focuses on the stories of three ordinary women and describes the emotional abuse they encounter through photography. It is hoped that this exploration of gender relations will provoke the audience to think about emotional abuse. “I’m just a fantasy and amusement in a boring voyage.” This is a quote from a woman to a man in the movie "Bitter Moon". The pain experienced by the two sexes in this movie is heartbreaking, and it also triggered me to ponder about "pain". Compared to direct physical violence, emotional abuse is usually ignored by many people. Studies have shown that long-term exposure to emotional abuse causes great psychological damage to people. Therefore, I focused my research on "emotional abuse". I also sent out an anonymous questionnaire on social networks, hoping to hear "stories" from people. Preparation After posting an invitation online, I received responses from three women. They were willing to share their stories, but declined to be photographed. With their stories as the background, I invited three models to participate in a series of photography sessions to interpret their stories from the perspective of a camera lens using my own understanding of emotional abuse. Creative process All three series used red as the visual cue. Red is romantic but also violent. In the selection of props, I used beautiful and romantic things from a relationship, such as roses, mobile phones, rings and so on, to create scenes. But what is inside information? I developed an experimental hypothesis. On the other side of the wire, I devised a fantasy theme of “passing through information”.I hope to interpret my understanding of information through photography. I wanted to explore what we would be like once we crossed the information dimension. In the film The Matrix, there is such a thing called “matrix”, which is spawned from the consciousness of a human being who can travel to the matrix world by the connection of a cable and then return to the real world by answering the phone. When the consciousness reaches a certain level, all the things seen in the matrix would be made up of data. For example, to learn Chinese Kongfu, you just need a set of programs. Want to ward off the enemy’s bullet? Just think about it and it will happen. I expanded the concept of "passing through information" with a non-linear narrative logic, assuming that the channel connecting the future world of information and the real world can be anything that intersects. I presented them in the form of Diptych and distinguished them in colour and black and white to form a complete vision. The real world was set in the 20th century when the information network was not yet developed; it was also an era when the paper media dominated. Jets leave a long line of smoke as they across the sky, just like a meteor. When the height of the building is getting higher and higher, our line of sight is limited, the scope of the sky is getting smaller and smaller, and it is more of a fragmented sky. I can't remember how long I haven't seen a full sky. Maybe I've been in China too long. I was surprised when I first arrived in London. I love the feeling of being able to see the sky at all times. This also gave me inspiration to create. The sky can certainly be a big stage.
